Sunday Running Report: Taking it Slow

The last two weeks have been rough on my body.  TMI ALERT. The new thing that happens is that when I’m exposed to something that I’m sensitive to, like perfume or fabric softener, I get these crazy intestinal cramps. This has left me with a few days where I was in too much pain to run. Also I was very busy preparing for my yoga presentation at the Indian Heritage Festival. Now I’ve stubbed my toe and it’s quite painful. It is either sprained or broken. I went all hardcore first aid on it. Now it’s time to wait and see. Here’s what my training looked like the past 2 weeks:

Sunday: 2 miles
Monday: Rest- long day
Tuesday: 1 mile walk
Wednesday: 20 minute swim
Thursday: 30 minutes yoga
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Rest

Sunday: Restorative Yoga
Monday: Rest- long day
Tuesday: 1 mile walk
Wednesday: 20 minute swim, 1 mile walk
Thursday: Rest
Friday: 20 minute hike
Saturday: Rest

I’ve realized that even when I don’t stick to my training plan I’m still keeping active enough to maintain my fitness level. This week I plan to see how it goes. If it’s not too painful I will run. Otherwise I will swim and do yoga.
