Legs up the wall and savasana: My bedtime routine

image“The stresses of modern life are a strain on the nerves for which savasana is the only cure.”~B.K.S. Iyengar

Some days are more stressful than others.  There are days where I spend so many hours on my feet that when I lay down I’m too tired to sleep and I just can’t settle my mind.  Usually on those days I am too busy to practice yoga and I do not have the energy for an extended asana practice.  I simply put my legs up against the wall for about 5 minutes then supported corpse pose for about 10 minutes.  If I am not asleep by then I usually am fast asleep in no time.  Sometimes I rub a few drops of lavender oil on my palms to help me relax.  You can find more on supported savasana here. What is your relaxing bedtime routine?
