Detox Water: Fresh and clean

Many people like to start the new year with a cleanse.  Some people do it  for a fresh start and others may do it as part of a challenge such as My Yoga Online’s 21 day challenge. I try to include cleansing foods such as lemons, tumeric and ginger in my diet as often as possible.  I wanted to try detox water.

I have to admit that I hate flavored water. I like water or juice no in between.  I decided to go with chopped fresh ginger and tumeric in water.  It didn’t taste horrible but I didn’t enjoy it either.  I like the things I eat and drink to taste good. I decided to add one part apple juice to two parts water. The result was a very refreshing drink.  My mom enjoyed it and my aunt said it tasted like wine.

  2. This is a great idea! I usually don’t drink flavored water, but this is a great idea!

    1. You can add other stuff such as cucumbers, berries mint etc,

  3. Good stuff! I usually add ginger, mint, lemon and cucumbers to my water. Sometimes I add a little honey in there as well.
